Jodi Jarvis is the Director of Families with Young Children and Interfaith Engagement at Combined Jewish Philanthropies in Boston, MA. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing the strategies for these content areas, partnering with Jewish communal organizations, both community-wide and synagogues, and working with volunteers and donors.
Jodi previously served as the Director of Early Childhood and Family Life at Temple Isaiah in Lexington, MA as well as a community consultant to CJP’s Families with Young Children pilot initiatives. During her time at Temple Isaiah, Jodi worked with leadership and professionals to create a robust families with young children initiative - increasing family participation, both member and non-member. Jodi is a veteran preschool teacher and has provided consultation, workshops and family program experiences throughout the Greater Boston Jewish Community, including her one-woman Passover play. In addition, Jodi is a trained Godly Play presenter. Jodi is passionate about her work, creative, resourceful, a valued team player, inquisitive, an active learner and listener, and both fun and funny. She was the 2010 recipient of the CJP Keter Torah Award for outstanding commitment for Jewish Education.
Prior to her work in the Jewish community, Jodi was a software engineer at Raytheon Company. She has a BA in Mathematics and a Masters Certificate from Hebrew College in Early Childhood. Jodi lives in Salem, MA with her fiancé . She has two children, a son age 24 and a daughter 21, and a bonus daughter (daughter of her fiancé!), age 12. Jodi loves boating, cooking and baking, making jewelry and spending time with friends and family!
